FRUIT EATING DOG
05/04/2014 // 0 CommentsHello again from God’s own country in Central Queensland. At the end of last year I inherited a dog. It is a 3 year old pure bred German Shepard bitch. Lately I have discovered that she is a rare fruit eater and am still discovering more fruit that she eats. So far she has eaten red & white dragon fruit, carambola, non astringent persimmon, and her favourite, ice cream bean – seeds and all. Now I discovered yesterday that she will lap up the juice of a sweet lime as I squeeze it ( won’t eat the flesh ). Don’t be fooled into thinking she is an angel cause she also eats dried dead toads ( must be dry and crunchy ). She dug up a rats nest and ate the bubs and she has caught a couple of small birds and eaten them, beak, feathers and feet as well. She also eats frozen grapes. Does anybody else have a rare fruit eating dog?
